Seventh Inning Splits (My Big Fat Fabulous Life - Season 2, Episode 4 Recap)

It's finally the night of the big Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game! and boy, did the weather turn out poorly for Whitney and her BGDC's debut - but don't worry - the girls should be fine regardless of how the dance number goes (though Whitney is entirely convinced that they'll jettison themselves off the stadium if the dance doesn’t go as planned). The manager of baseball operations assures Whit that the Grasshoppers' stadium has the best drainage in town, but Whit, having never danced on grass before, let alone WET GRASS, isn't convinced. Will the dance number end in victory or defeat? Will "a big girl go down," or will the BGDC show that Whitney (and only Whitney, with no help from Todd) can do anything she sets her mind to? Only tonight's episode will tell.  

Pasta La Vista! (My Big Fat Fabulous Life - Season 2, Episode 3 Recap)

This week, Whit is saying "CARBONARA" (huh???) to pasta, bread and other white carbs, even though her dietician specifically advised against it! She's forging her own path and making her own choices and cutting out food groups left and right. Whit decides to put herself to the ultimate challenge - to go out for Italian food with her friends, Babs and Glenn and allow them to order all of her favorite foods so that she can "look the carbs in the face" and say "don't call me, I'll call you." But will Whit make it on no carbs once the cravings kick in? Will she find foods that make her feel energized or will she stick to her old favorites that make her feel sluggish? Only time (and Julie Duffy Dillon) will tell! 

Whitney's Back! (My Big Fat Fabulous Life - Season 2, Episode 2 Recap)

Whitney’s back, y’all! In this aptly titled episode, WWT returns to the spotlight, hand in the air, with renewed determination following her pre-diabetes diagnosis. She visits her doctor to assess the impact of her recent lifestyle changes - BGDC and… that’s it… on her health. Spoiler alert: she’s not any farther from the diabetes diagnosis! Whitney challenges herself by attempting to ride a bicycle - a custom-made, wide-wheeled bicycle - for the first time in years! Though, unlike with dancing, we don’t get a number for how many years it’s been! This episode sets the tone for the season, and begs the questions: will Whitney be determined enough to outwit (outWHIT) diabetes? Can you really be fat and fit at the same time? Will Whitney and Buddy ever recross the “fleshhold?” And can you fight diabetes if you don’t live with your parents?
