The Plot Thickens

We're finally gearing up for the dance battle of the century - and don't forget, it's North Carolina's first official dance battle! Both BGDC and Trophy Wife Fitness are prepping for the dance battle between Gia and Whitney, while the tension rises. For the Big Girls, this promises to be the most intense performance of their lives, but they come with some extra tools in their tool belts - drumsticks! But the Trophy Wives come packing a super secret weapon that might have Whitney calling foul. When an injury plagues Todd, Whit's eternal dance partner and the heart and soul of the team, it's all she can do to keep from losing her mind and evacuating the dance floor! 

This week, we’ve got another crazy episode for you with a brand new crazy celebrity guest - dance choreography expert to the stars (or at least our kind of stars such as the ones from Dance Moms fame) JENZI! Jenzi may be in the “land of the trees” (or that’s how she sees Greensboro, anyway) but she’s not taking kindly to the BBQ - even with Greensboro being the BBQ capital of the world according to Whit! But not only is Jenzi a hard ass when it comes to the food, her classes are hard as the dickens and the girls from BGDC are struggling to keep up with her “BOOM BOOM CAP!” Instructions. Jenzi is also loud about calling out the girls who aren’t getting in line right from the jump - in particular, she’s rough on Chrissy (“Dreads”) and Mattie (when she comes in late from her other job in a full blazer and heels)! Look out, girls - Jenzi is coming through and she’s not nearly as flexible as Whit when it comes to learning the moves! 

With the dance battle looming, Whitney pulls out all the stops and brings in choreographer Jenzi, a wild and unpredictable star of the dance world who is a viral sensation. Jenzi's cutthroat methods, including her screams of "BOOM - CAH!" upset the class - but will her unsavory tactics make Whit's Big Girls (and boys, who Jenzi remembers as "cute, but unmemorable") stronger, securing victory, or will they turn Whit's crew against her and make them wonder why they agreed to the dance battle to begin with? All those answers and more are on this episode! 

This week is a landmark episode for a number of reasons: not only does Hillary Clinton, legend and queen, call into the Maney, Roy and LauRen show, which is absolutely mind blowing, Whit experiences her own version of “girl power” the likes of which she’s never seen! You might recall that last week, Whit’s high school friend (and infamous banana bread baker) Amanda came on the scene and bumped into Whit at the gay clerb, wanting to reconnect. She invited Whit to go horseback riding with her - and this week, it’s off to the races for Whit because she’s getting on Apollo, a massive and noble steed! But will Apollo buck Whit into the next generation? Or will Whit need to worry more about getting ridden than riding? Tune in to hear it all! 

The rumors (the ones about Whit being engaged, anyway) are TRUE! It feels like only a couple of months ago that Whit introduced us to her mystery man, Jake. Now they're going to be married! Jake proposed during a hike with a beautiful Aquamarine ring! We don't know the significance yet, but we do know there's a story there and we're reporting everything we've seen online, including some crazy rumors that at this point we can't confirm or deny. 

On this episode of The Plot Thickens, we're recapping Whit running into an old friend from high school who invites her to go horseback riding. But is there a horse big enough for Whit to ride, she wonders! And will Whit's horseback riding adventure turn into something of a Brokeback Mountain situation? Babs also plans a big surprise for Glenn for their 39th anniversary - we know how these two love their arbitrary anniversaries! But this year, Babs isn't giving Glenn the same old stuff, she's going BLONDE. Will Glenn recognize her? Will he feel like he's being serenaded by Jewel or will he wonder what stranger is at his anniversary dinner? 

As usual, we’ve got a fun new episode for you this week! Whit is standing “ten toes” in her drama with Jiya, the owner of Trophy Wife Fitness, a competing dance crew to BGDC. But is it, really? Because Trophy Wife Fitness has an emphasis on FITNESS while BGDC really emphasizes the confidence building factor of dance. We also loop back with Buddy, who finally might be committing to taking his weight loss goals seriously, thanks to some gentle urging from Heather. Finally, in an ultimate twist of fate (and Whit’s rivalry with Jiya), Maney and Roy somehow talk Whit into a full blown dance battle - BGDC vs. Trophy Wife Fitness! But first, Whit will have to figure out what a dance battle is, because allegedly she’s never heard of one. 

The rivalry between BGDC and the Trophy Wife Fitness girls is ON like Donkey Kong, and Whitney is attending rival Jiya's dance class. But Jiya's class isn't a bed of roses or a pleasure cruise - it's a full blown intense workout! Will Whit crumble when her skills get tested? Or will Whit be able to shock Jiya and her Trophy Wives at how low she can go? Also, Whit and the gang prep for Jiya and her Trophy Wives to step onto the BGDC turf, where Whitney has a couple of tricks up her sleeve. But will the Trophy Wives take kindly to those tricks and appreciate the homage, or will they be offended and will this feel more like Bring it On than a guest feature at a new dance class? 

It's a rodeo on this episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life - but don't worry, we're going to save a horse and ride a Big Girl - and not just any Big Girl; a member of the BGDC! Whit and the girls are suiting up in their best cowgirl attire to dance at the Folk Festival. They've got to practice in front of a highway and the big day is finally here - but BOY HOWDY are they about to get a dose of reality when Jiya, a self-made, smart mouthed gal with her own dance crew comes calling. But before that, Whitney's Dress as a Drink party is finishing up, and we've got to wonder what possessed Lennie to bring a Bloody Mary? And by that we mean, why would he bring a date to his ex-girlfriend's party? We've also got a shopping interlude at an antique shop with Whit and Babs, and some serious discussion on keeping a man (and why Babs can and Whit can't). 

On today's episode, "producer" Whit's editing skills are put to the test when she turns in the final cut of her Pride interview piece. Will it be the "Kiss" of death? Or will she prove herself to the 95.1 team? Next, Whit only has two days (per usual) to prep the BGDC girls for the Folk Festival performance. How will Whit get the group (including "struggling" dancer Tal) up-to-speed in time? But the main attraction this episode - Whit's housewarming party!
